The club occupied a new course at Doncaster in 1924 and we relocated to our beautiful home on the Yarra River at Yering in July, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughout our history, the club and its land holdings have been associated with some of Victoria\u2019s most prominent figures and intriguing events. Celebrated surgeon, Sir Thomas Naughton Fitzgerald, built the grand Doncaster home that was our former clubhouse and Dame Nellie Melba\u2019s father, David Mitchell, built a cottage there. The Doncaster golf course hosted hundreds of WWI veterans in an annual competition for the AIF Cup and after WWII for a trophy donated by the founder of Legacy, General Sir Stanley Savige.
